Since 1992, the Walpole Computer Foundation has raised over $800,000 in support of technology for the Walpole Public Schools. To guarantee the most effective use of these funds across the entire school district, the WCF has established a formal grant process for directing funds to the highest priority technology projects.

There are many examples of highly successful projects that have been funded completely or partially through WCF technology grants. It is our firm belief that at least some of these vitally important technology resources would not exist within the Walpole Public Schools without the WCF grants that have been awarded over the past 18 years.

The Walpole Computer Foundation is pleased to announce the awarding of $52,448.37 in grant monies to support teaching programs and learning excellence within the Walpole Public Schools. This session’s awards bring the total funds awarded by the WCF, since its inception, to more than $800,000.

Requests were evaluated for their potential to further educational technology in support of the WPS mission of educating all students to achieve excellence.

The quality of applications, each one reflecting an earnest desire to do a job well, challenged our fiscal ability to consider $165,000 requested in 26 applications. We did our best to enable innovation, support the operating budget, and benefit as many students as possible. We encouraged and rewarded collaborative efforts among schools and funded portions of some requests to stretch the grant dollars even further.

Please find below the list of those projects selected to receive WCF funding.
